Desert Inn Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oats
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Pour water over oats and let stand 20 minutes or until cool. Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla; add to oats mixture. Sift together dry ingredients and add to oats mixture; mix well. Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
