Egg And Sausage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices bread, lightly buttered
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. sausage
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    4 eggs
    3 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation
    Saute sausage until cooked; drain liquid off.
    Beat eggs with milk, salt and mustard.
    Trim crust from bread if desired.
    Place 6 slices bread, butter side up, into 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Spread 1/2 sausage and cheese over bread.
    Place remaining 6 slices of bread on top and remainder sausage, then cheese.
    Pour egg mixture on top and press down with spatula until milk comes to top of casserole. Refrigerate if desired overnight.
    Remove from refrigerator 45 minutes before you cook.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done, about 1 hour.
