Water Whipped Baked Pastry Shell - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening (solid)
    1 Tbsp. milk
    1/4 c. boiling water
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Place first 3 ingredients in deep mixing bowl.
    Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
    Add flour and salt; beat on low speed until dry mixture is moistened. Divide dough in half; shape into balls.
    Wrap in plastic wrap and chill 4 hours.
    Remove one dough portion at a time.
    Place between 12-inch long pieces of wax paper.
    Roll into a 12-inch circle; peel away wax paper and place in a 9-inch pie plate and flute edges.
    Prick bottom and sides with a fork.
    Repeat procedure with remaining dough.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 18 minutes until lightly browned.
    Cool.
    Yield: two 9-inch pie shells.
