Sour Cream Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour, sifted
1/4 c. shortening
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon and 1/2 c. chopped nuts or 3 Tbsp. Hershey's instant chocolate, 1 Tbsp. cinnamon and 1/2 c. nuts or coconut
Preparation

Beat sugar, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.
Blend in the sour cream.
In another mixing bowl, sift together the baking powder, soda and flour; cut in shortening.
Pour into the sugar-egg-cream mixture and mix slightly.
Do not overmix.
Pour half the batter into a small, greased tube pan and sprinkle with mixture of brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts.
Pour the remaining batter over the brown sugar, etc.
and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
