Meat Loaf(Serves 50) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground veal
    1 1/2 lb. ground pork
    4 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion
    3 c. grated raw carrots
    2 1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    5 eggs
    1 qt. bread crumbs
    6 slices bacon or salt pork
Preparation
    Mix ground veal, pork and beef together.
    Add chopped onion, grated carrots, seasonings, slightly beaten eggs, bread crumbs and milk.
    Pack firmly into greased loaf pans, filling them 3/4 full. Three loaf pans about 12 x 4-inches will be needed.
    Place slices of bacon or salt pork over the top of the loaf.
    Bake in a moderate oven for about 1 hour.
