Ingredients

3 c. cooked, sliced or diced beets
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Mix sugar and flour; add water and vinegar.
Cook slowly until thick, about 10 minutes.
Add salt and butter or margarine; then add beets.
Cover and continue cooking about 10 minutes.
Serves 5.
