Autumn Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 onion, chopped
    4 c. water
    1 c. cut-up carrots
    1 c. diced celery
    1 c. cubed potatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1/8 tsp. basil
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
Preparation
    Brown meat.
    Add everything but tomatoes.
    Cook 25 minutes. Add tomatoes and cook 10 minutes, or longer.
    Then serve.
