Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 or more head chopped lettuce
    1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. finely chopped red onion
    1/2 c. finely chopped celery
    1 (No. 2) can LeSueur English peas (tiny ones)
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. plain yogurt
    Parmesan cheese
    8 slices crisp bacon, crumbled, or bacon bits
Preparation
    Finely chop enough lettuce to cover the bottom of a rectangular Pyrex dish (9 x 13-inch).
    Sprinkle onion, pepper, celery and English peas over lettuce.
    Combine mayonnaise and yogurt.
    Cover the layers, sealing to edges of dish.
    Sprinkle bacon over top, then cover all with Parmesan cheese.
    Refrigerate at least 8 hours.
    Can be made 2 or 3 days before serving.
    Cover with foil or plastic wrap.
