Soft Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups sugar
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 cup butter
    1 cup milk
    1 cup whipped cream
    1 cup light corn syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Butter a 13 x 9-inch pan. Put all ingredients except vanilla in a heavy pot. Cook over medium heat, stir until it comes to a boil. Cook until 244\u00b0, remove from heat, stir in vanilla and pour into pan. Keep refrigerated.
