Stewed Okra - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 lb. okra, chopped
1 large can peeled tomatoes
1 large onion
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/3 to 1/2 c. bacon drippings
Preparation

Wash and chop okra.
Dice onions.
Heat bacon drippings on medium to high heat, add chopped okra.
Stir until okra stops stringing.
Add onion, sugar and half of tomatoes, cut up.
Place other half tomatoes and juice from tomatoes in food processor until liquid.
Pour in with other ingredients.
Stir.
Cook until okra is tender.
Serve over white rice.
