Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. red food coloring
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Add eggs, one at a time. Make thick paste of cocoa and food coloring.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Sift flour and salt together and add to creamed mixture. Add soda and vinegar; mix well.
    Bake in a 9-inch pan for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
