Chocolate Curls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (12 oz.) pkg. Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels (2 c.)
pinch of salt and cream of tartar
2 tsp. vegetable shortening
Preparation

Over hot, not boiling, water, combine chocolate morsels and vegetable shortening; stir until morsels melt and mixture is smooth.
Pour into foil-lined 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Chill until firm (about 2 hours).
Remove foil from chocolate block.
Make chocolate curls using one of the following:
vegetable peeler, cheese slicer, cheese plane, lemon zester or butter curler.
Place curls on cookie sheet; chill until ready to use.
Makes 1 1/4 cups.
