Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 3/4 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 Tbsp. grated lemon rind or 1 tsp. vanilla or both
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Sift flour and\tsoda
    together.
    Cream butter or margarine and sugar until well
    blended.\tAdd
    eggs, one at a time, beating well on high speed of mixer after each addition until light and fluffy.
    Using low speed of mixer, mix in lemon rind or add vanilla to buttermilk.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with
    milk to creamed mixture.
    Mix only until flour is moistened.
    Pour into
    greased
    10-inch tube pan or greased Bundt pan.
    Bake
    at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
    May be frozen. Serves 16 to 20.
