3 oz. butter
1 medium onion, peeled and finely chopped
4 oz. bacon, chopped
6 oz. dry white bread crumbs
finely grated rind of 1 lemon
3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
salt and pepper to taste
a little milk (to bind)
Preparation

Melt the butter in a skillet. Fry the onion and bacon for 5 minutes over medium heat.
Add bread crumbs. Stir and cook for another minute. Stir in remaining ingredients, adding a little milk, as necessary, to bind the stuffing to a moist consistency.
