Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. oil
1 c. chopped onions
1 c. chopped bell pepper
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 clove garlic
1 (14 oz.) can beef broth
1 can kidney or pinto beans
1 bay leaf
1 c. chopped ham
1/4 tsp. hot sauce
3/4 c. uncooked rice
Preparation

In heavy 3-quart saucepan, put first 4 ingredients and saute for 3 minutes. Add broth and bring to a boil; add rice and cook 10 minutes. Add beans, ham, hot sauce, bay leaf and garlic. Cover and simmer for 15 to 25 minutes or until rice is done.
