Graham Cracker Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. fine graham cracker crumbs
1 c. sugar (brown or white, as desired)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
sweetened whipped cream or ice cream
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Mix cracker crumbs with sugar, baking powder and salt.
Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored and add to the cracker mixture.
Add nuts and vanilla, stirring to blend.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Turn into a greased 9-inch square pan and bake about 25 minutes.
Cool; cut into squares and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
