Homemade Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    White Lily self-rising flour, sifted
    3/4 c. Snowdrift shortening
    3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Fill a large bowl about 3/4 full of flour.
    Make a shallow well in flour; cut in shortening until it crumbles.
    Add buttermilk and knead until it forms a ball.
    Roll out onto floured surface until 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut with biscuit cutter and place on greased biscuit pan.
    Bake in a hot oven, about 400\u00b0, until browned.
    I just pinch the dough off and roll biscuits slightly in hand before putting them in pan instead of rolling out dough.
