German Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. salad oil
    3 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    5 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. flour
    2 c. apples, peeled and sliced thin
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Mix oil and eggs by hand (no mixer at all!).
    Add sugar, vanilla, salt and baking soda by hand.
    Add cinnamon and flour; mix well.
    Add apples and raisins, batter will be very thick.
    Mix well and spread into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    When cool, sprinkle with confectioners sugar, if desired.
