Autumn Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. oil
    6 c. water
    2 medium carrots, sliced
    1 c. diced celery
    2 medium potatoes, cubed
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. bouquet sauce
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. dried basil
    1 (28 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, crushed
Preparation
    Brown beef and onion in oil in a 6-quart pot.
    Add all other ingredients except tomatoes.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Add tomatoes.
    Cover and simmer 10 more minutes. Serves 4 to 6.
