*Custard Baked In Phyllo Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. milk
    12 eggs, lightly beaten
    1 c. regular farina
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 lb. filo pastry sheets
    1 lb. butter, melted
Preparation
    In a saucepan, combine milk, eggs, farina, sugar and the 4 tablespoons butter.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil and is thick.
    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
    Place half of the filo pastry in a 12 x 16-inch baking pan, buttering each sheet before placing it in the pan. Pour filling into pan and cover with remaining filo, again brushing each one generously with butter.
    With a sharp knife, cut top pastry square shaped pieces and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or until golden brown. Remove from oven and pour the syrup.
