Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. applesauce
2 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. nuts, coarsely chopped
1 c. raisins (preferably golden)
2 c. sugar
2 level tsp. baking soda (stirred into applesauce)
1 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar well.
Add applesauce with soda mixed in it.
Sift together flour and spices and add to first mixture.
Add beaten eggs, then nuts and raisins.
Pour batter into greased floured tube pan.
Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven 50 to 60 minutes or until tests done.
Cool in pan 10 minutes, then turn onto clean towel and cool completely.
Sift powdered sugar on top or drizzle with glaze.
