Pineapple Icebox Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can pineapple tidbits
    4 eggs, separated
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 stick butter
    1 box orange-pineapple jello
    1 pkg. vanilla wafers
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks. Fold in sugar and 1/2 cup pineapple juice. Cook until thick; remove from heat. Add jello. After it dissolves, add butter and pineapple and remaining juice. Pour over vanilla wafers. Add nuts and stiffly beaten egg whites. Keep in the refrigerator.
