Southern Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. firm packed brown sugar
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    dash of salt
    1 c. broken pecans
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cream, butter and salt in a heavy saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
    Cook to soft ball stage.
    Remove from heat.
    Cool 5 minutes.
    Add nuts.
    Stir until mixture coats a spoon.
    Drop on buttered wax paper.
    Makes 30 to 35 pralines.
