Una'S Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 c. each: chopped green pepper, chopped onion, diced celery, diced green onions and tomato puree or 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
    2 c. chopped canned tomatoes
    1 oz. lemon juice (about 2 Tbsp.)
    2 oz. cornstarch (about 2 Tbsp.)
    2 bay leaves
    2 to 3 lb. peeled shrimp with salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Melt butter; saute pepper, onion, celery and green onions for about 5 minutes.
    Add tomatoes and tomato paste with bay leaves. Simmer for 15 minutes.
    Add shrimp; simmer for 15 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in 1 pint water and add to shrimp mixture. Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Add lemon juice and
    salt and pepper to taste.
    Simmer for 15 minutes.
    Serve over steaming rice or creamed potatoes.
    Might add a few drops of Tabasco or red pepper.
