Cranberry Banana Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cranberries
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    3 well-ripened bananas, diced
    crisp lettuce
Preparation
    Wash
    and
    pick over cranberries, discarding soft ones. Add water,
    cover
    and\tcook slowly until berries are tender, about 20\tminutes.
    Stir in sugar and cook for 2 minutes more until liquid forms a syrup.
    Remove from heat and rub berries through a sieve.
    Then carefully stir in diced bananas.
    Cool, then
    chill in\trefrigerator until jellied.
    Cut into squares and lift into lettuce cups.
    Serves 5.
