Apple Sauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. applesauce
1 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Beat in eggs; sift together dry ingredients.
Add to creamed mixture with applesauce, beating after each addition.
If batter seems to be a little stiff, add 1/4 to 1/2 c. milk.
Stir in raisins, nuts and dates.
Bake in greased and floured 10 inch tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
