Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. yellow Crisco
    3 c. self-rising flour
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Cream Crisco and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Work in 2 1/2 cups flour. Pinch off dough and make small balls. Dough will be sticky, so roll it in 1/2 cup flour. Mash flat on cookie sheet and bake at 300\u00b0 until golden brown.
