Marinated Vegetables - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 medium yellow squash, thinly sliced
    1/2 c. thinly sliced onion
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. salad oil (optional)
    1 clove garlic, crushed or 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Mix vegetables in a large mixing bowl and toss lightly.
    Mix remaining ingredients and pour over vegetables.
    Chill about 12 hours, stirring occasionally.
