West Virginia Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. soft shortening
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking power, sugar and salt.
    Add corn meal.
    Add eggs, milk and shortening; beat until smooth, pour in greased pan.
    Bake in 425\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
