Hamburger Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground chuck
    3 carrots
    4 potatoes
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms
    1 large onion
    4 ears corn-on-the-cob
    1 lb. tomatoes
    1 c. fresh peas
    1 can V-8 juice
    1 envelope beef stew mix
    1/2 c. green pepper
Preparation
    Slice carrots, potatoes and onion thin.
    Shave corn from the cob.
    Should have 2 cups.
    Brown meat; drain off fat.
    Add onion, pepper and mushrooms.
    Boil potatoes, corn and carrots.
    Add tomatoes, corn and mushrooms.
    Add meat mixture and stew mix to vegetable mixture.
    Add V-8 juice.
    Simmer for 1 hour.
