Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Crisco shortening
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 oz. red food coloring
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream Crisco and sugar; add vanilla coloring.
    Add eggs and cream well.
    Sift and measure flour and cocoa.
    Sift 3 times.
    Add to mixture alternately with milk.
    Fold in soda and vinegar.
    Pour into a greased 13 x 9-inch cake pan; bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Ice with following icing when cool.
