Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1 c. butter
2 c. raw peanuts, chopped
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

In 3 quart saucepan, heat together sugar, corn syrup and water stirring until sugar dissolves.
When syrup boils, blend in butter. Stir frequently after temperature reaches 230\u00b0 on candy thermometer; add peanuts when temperature reaches 280\u00b0; stirring constantly to crack stage 305\u00b0.
Remove from heat, stir in soda mixing well.
Pour onto 2 buttered cookie sheets.
Spread, then loosen when candy hardens.
Break into pieces and store in plastic bags.
