Mexican Cheese Chilli Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion, finely chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. drained, solid pack tomatoes
    1 (4 oz.) can peeled and seeded green chillies, chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    3/4 c. half and half
    1/2 lb. Monterey Jack cheese
    Fritos
Preparation
    Cook onion in butter until tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, chillies, salt and pepper. Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes. Cut cheese into 1/2-inch cubes. Stir in half and half when cheese begins to melt. Cook until cheese is melted. Cook, uncovered, 10 minutes. Serve in chafing dish with Fritos.
    Makes 3 cups.
