Pound Cake With Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups butter, softened
    2 2/3 cups sugar
    8 eggs
    3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
    1/2 cup half and half
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat butter at medium speed until creamy. Gradually, add sugar, beating at medium for about 5 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, beating just until yellows disappear. Add flour to butter mixture, alternately with half and half. Mix until well blended. Add vanilla and stir. Pour batter into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes. Remove cake from pan and cool completely. Spread with caramel frosting.
