Pickling Solution - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. turmeric (if desired)
Preparation
    Mix all together and
    bring
    to
    a boil.
    Add cucumbers or beets and bring to boil again.
    Fill hot jars and seal.
    I use this for beets.
    You may
    add
    a little extra sugar if you like a sweeter solution.
    If
    using
    cucumbers, be sure to use only the tiny ones.
