Lo-Cal Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. chuck steak
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. oil
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 green peppers, thinly sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
    2/3 c. minced onion
    2 c. canned tomatoes
Preparation
    Sliver meat in 2 x 1/4-inch pieces; soak in soy sauce (even overnight).
    In skillet, saute onion and green pepper in oil until tender.
    Add meat and brown.
    Add tomatoes, salt and pepper.
    Let simmer 1 hour.
    Make paste with cornstarch and water; add to skillet.
    Let simmer 15 minutes more.
    Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 6.
