Delicious Squash Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 medium yellow squash
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. Mexican-style cornbread or regular cornbread mix
    1 (8 oz.) cream-style corn
    1/2 c. chunky picante sauce
    2 Tbsp. butter, softened
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Boil squash and onion approximately 30 minutes or until tender. Drain and mash with fork. Add egg. Mix well. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Put into a 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Bake 50 minutes or until set.
