Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    3/4 c. milk
    1 3/4 c. flour
    2 c. rhubarb, cut into 1/2-inch bits
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream white sugar, butter and shortening.
    Add vanilla, soda and salt and mix.
    Add egg and beat well.
    Add milk, flour and rhubarb; mix well.
    Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle brown sugar and nuts on top.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Serve with whipped topping.
