Holiday Sweetbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 egg yolks
    1 c. sugar
    1 large cake yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    2 c. milk
    1 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    8 c. flour
    egg white
Preparation
    Beat yolks and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Mix yeast and water.
    Let set 5 minutes.
    Heat milk and butter; cool until lukewarm.
    Add milk mixture to egg mixture, yeast and vanilla. Mix in flour; knead 10 minutes.
    Put in greased bowl; punch down. Raise again; punch down.
    Shape in regular loaves or braided loaves.
    Brush gently with egg white.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
