Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon, mixed together
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs one at a time.
    Stir remaining ingredients except cinnamon-sugar mixture together.
    Add to the creamed mixture; mix well.
    Roll into small balls.
    Roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
    Place
    2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Do not overbake.
    Makes about 4 dozen.
