Escalloped Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 to 18 medium onions, quartered
    2 c. buttered bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
Preparation
    Cook onions in salt water until tender.
    Save 1 1/2 cups of the water.
    Blend water, flour, cheese and pepper into a sauce. Pour over onions in casserole.
    Sprinkle bread crumbs over the sauce.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
