Corn Oysters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. frozen corn kernels
    1/4 c. milk
    1/3 c. flour
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
Preparation
    In a colander, rinse frozen corn just until ice crystals disappear.
    Place corn in a bowl.
    Add milk, flour, egg, salt and pepper.
    Stir to mix.
    Cover with paper towel and set aside.
    In skillet over medium heat, warm butter and oil.
    After butter melts completely, carefully put 6 rounded spoonfuls of corn mixture into skillet.
    Cook corn oysters for 2 or 3 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown.
    Turn them gently and cook 2 or 3 minutes more or until both sides are golden brown.
