Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large cans Pet milk
    4 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. white Karo
    2 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, butter and Karo; heat.
    Add 1 can of milk and stir until it boils.
    Add another can of milk so slowly that the mixture does not stop boiling.
    Cook until it forms a soft ball in water.
    Add vanilla.
    Cool.
    Cut in squares and wrap in waxed paper.
