Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. yellow squash (young and tender), sliced
    2 c. onions, sliced and separated into rings
    1 Tbsp. salt (heaping)
    1 c. green peppers
    1 1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    1 c. pimento, sliced
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients and put 1/2 gallon ice cubes on top. Let soak for 1 hour.
