Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. applesauce
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. (scant) flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
raisins (optional)

Preparation

Mix ingredients in a bowl.
Add raisins, if desired.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes in a tube pan.
