Mom'S Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 3/4 c. granulated sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. shortening (Crisco)
    3/4 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
    1 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan. Place flour and next 3 ingredients in large bowl.
    Drop in shortening.
    Pour in milk, vanilla and 2 eggs.
    Beat 300 strokes. Add 2 eggs; beat 300 strokes.
    Beat until blended.
    Batter is heavy.
    Fold in nuts.
    Bake.
    Cool 10 to 15 minutes before removing from pan.
