Rouladen(German) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    rump roast, cut into 1/2-inch slices
    flour
    onions or pearl onions
    bacon
    oil
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Pound roast slices in flour.
    Put one slice of onion (or pearl onions) and 1/4 or 1/2 slice of bacon in each slice.
    Roll the meat up and secure with toothpicks.
    In an electric frypan, place 2 tablespoons oil and brown meat on all sides.
    Remove the meat and place on a skewer.
    Add flour to drippings; brown and add 1 cup water.
    Put beef back in this gravy.
    Simmer for at least 1 hour.
