1 c. corn meal (plain)
1 c. cream-style corn
1 c. sharp cheese, grated
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red pepper (optional)
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Mix all ingredients.
Bake in a square pan at 450\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
