Scalloped Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sliced carrots
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. grated American cheese
    1 can French fried onions
Preparation
    Cook carrots in salt water until tender; drain.
    Melt oleo; stir in flour and add milk gradually.
    Cook at medium heat until thick.
    Add cheese and stir until blended.
    Put 1/2 carrots in 1 1/2-quart casserole; cover with onions and repeat.
    Save 1/2 onions.
    Pour sauce over carrots.
    Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0; add remaining onions.
    Bake 5 minutes longer.
