Irresistible Blueberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2/3 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. blueberries
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add egg and beat well.
    Add dry ingredients and liquid alternately.
    Mix well.
    Add blueberries (if berries are frozen, lightly dust with 1 tablespoon flour to keep from sinking).
    Pour in square cake pan. Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until done.
    (Dresses up a basic white cake quickly for company!)
